In this world, nothing is permanent. The scorching days will always be followed by relieving rains and the immense rains will similarly be followed by beautiful sunshine. But we people forget this thing and keep cursing the scorching days and immense rains. We forget that one thing is beautiful because the other thing is ugly. It is the immense rains that make the sunshine beautiful.

Child for me is

- An essence of love

- Happiness that can be touched, felt

- Pure innocence

- A special one who gives you the pleasure to be called “Parents”

- The one who is absolutely free from all tensions and worries.

- The one who gives smile to everyone and who can bring smile to anyone.

- A gift of God

- A Blessing

The highest virtue in the world is like water: it benefits everything without exciting rivalries. We should be like water, choosing the lowest place which all others avoid.

For our dwelling we should choose the place where we can be of most benefit to others;

1)We should be kind and courteous, always choosing to be with good people.

2)In speech we should only speak words of truth and kindness.

3)In administration we should seek to keep things in peace and order.

4)In affairs we should exercise our best abilities.

Spring comes with its flowers, autumn with the moon,
summer with breezes, winter with snow;
when useless things don't stick in the mind,
that is your best season.

The spring flowers, the autumn moon;
Summer breezes, winter snow.
If useless things do not clutter your mind,
You have the best days of your life.

Hundreds of spring flowers; the autumnal moon;
A refreshing summer breeze; winter snow;
Free thy mind of all idle thoughts,
And for thee how enjoyable every season is!

Hundreds of flowers in the spring, the moon in the autumn,

A young child died; the father of the child had already died and the woman was living only for this child. That child was her whole life and her only hope; otherwise, there was nothing for her to live for. And the child died - she was almost on the verge of going crazy. She wouldn't allow anyone to take the child to the crematorium. She was hugging the child in the hope that perhaps he might start breathing again. She was ready to give her own life if the child could live.

Buddha chose for his sannyasins the yellow robe. Yellow represents death, the yellow leaf. Yellow represents the setting sun, the evening. Buddha emphasized death, and it helps in a way. People become more and more aware of life in contrast to death. When you emphasize death again and again and again, you help people to awaken; they have to be awake because death is coming. Whenever Buddha would initiate a new sannyasin, he would tell him, "Go to the cemetery: just be there and watch funeral pyres, dead bodies being carried and burned... go on watching.

Once Gautam Buddha was passing through a forest and it was the season of autumn. The forest was full of dry leaves, and Ananda, finding him alone, said to him, "I have always wanted to ask, but before the others I could not dare. Just tell me the truth: have you told us everything that you know or are you still holding back a few secrets?"

Try to understand the word suchness. Buddha depends on that word. In Buddha's own language it is tathata - suchness. The whole buddhist meditation consists of living in this word, living with this word, so deeply that the word disappears and you become the suchness.

This word suchness can work so deeply with physical illness, with mental illness and finally with spiritual illness - that they all dissolve. Start with the body, because that is the lowest layer. If you succeed there, then higher levels can be tried. If you fail there, then it will be difficult for you to move higher.
